How many of you made resolutions, goals, and to do lists for this year when the clock struck midnight on January 1, 2013? Well I’m pretty sure we all did. Some of us started full force and achieved some of them and some of us, well …. It was pretty much said out of excitement of a new year. Believe it or not we have gotten half way through the year of 2013 and for some, we have gotten distracted. Our job status changed, our finances took a plunge, things just...HAPPENED and with all that, we got discouraged, depressed, unmotivated and we pretty much fell in the dumps L we had a list of things to get accomplished by June 2013 but some are still contemplating on #1 on the list .
Proverbs 16:3 (Good News Translation) says this “Ask the Lord to bless your plans, and you will be successful in carrying them out”. Whatever it is that you have decided to do, whether it’s losing weight, going back to school, writing a book, starting a business or a ministry, the key is God has to be first in making decisions. If everything is done to give God the glory, your plans will succeed. Now I’m not saying it will be easy, but it is possible. Mark 9:23 says ‘everything is possible, to Him who Believes “, but you first have to believe.
Always remember a good idea is still a good idea three weeks from now, four weeks from now, or even 1 year from now. Take the time to learn all you can about your vision (your goal) take notes, meditate, pray and study; it will be worth it once it has been accomplished. Habakkuk 2:2 says “Write the vision and make it plain “. By writing your vision (your dream) down, you envision yourself getting it done. God wants us to prosper, and succeed in ALL area of our lives. So what’s your plan? Are you planning to get some things done by December 31st 2013? Or do you want that piece of paper to get dusty and you go through yet another year saying what you should have done, wishing you could turn back the hands of time? Like Nike says “JUST DO IT “
I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out-plans to take care of you, not to abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. ~Jeremiah 29:11~
